Your information in 4Edge
This policy covers account creation and sign-in, the 4Edge application, membership, payments, connected trading accounts, Academy, community connections and support. The public marketing website has a separate marketing website privacy policy.
Creating an account or accepting our Terms is not consent to every use of personal data. The purposes and legal bases are explained below.

Where information comes from
We receive information from you, your use of the service and providers involved in the features you use. Identity services supply authentication information; payment services supply billing and payment events; connected trading accounts and connectivity services supply account and execution data; community and support services supply linking and case information.
Required and optional information
The registration fields marked as required are needed to create and administer your account. Without them, account creation cannot be completed. Payment and trading-connection details are needed only for the corresponding feature. Community linking and the information you choose to include in a support message are optional; omitting information needed to understand an issue can limit the help we can provide.
Passwords and sensitive information
Your 4Edge login password is submitted directly to our authentication service. The 4Edge application database does not store it or its password hash. A trading password entered in the secure account-connection form is forwarded to our trading connectivity service for the requested connection; 4Edge does not retain that password in its application database, queues or logs. This does not describe how your broker or connectivity service independently handles connection credentials.
Do not put passwords, recovery codes, API keys, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information in support messages, screenshots or workspace notes.
3. Recipient categories and transfers
Authorised staff and service providers receive information needed for their work. The recipient categories used for the features described above include:
- Identity and authentication services: Identity, authentication, account credentials and account-profile information.
- Payment processors and billing services: Billing, Checkout, payment processing and subscription events. Payment details entered in payment forms are handled by the payment processor.
- Trading connectivity services and your selected broker or account provider: The trading connection you request, account data, automation and execution. Your broker or account provider also has its own relationship with you.
- Cloud hosting, content delivery and security services: Application and database hosting, content delivery, connectivity and security.
- File and media storage services: File and media storage, including supported private attachments.
- Transactional email delivery services: Delivery of service emails, including their destination, content and delivery status.
- AI processing services: AI processing for Ed: relevant conversation content, submitted screenshots and limited support context used to generate a response.
- Community and support communication services: Optional community membership and the internal support workflow when a case is referred to our human support team.
- Embedded video services: Academy video playback. Players receive your IP address and device information when a lesson loads and may use browser storage.
Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or competent authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims. A provider acting for its own purposes, such as your broker, also gives its own privacy information.
Provider processing and support access can involve countries outside the European Economic Area. An EU hosting region alone does not describe every provider’s processing location. For the recipients, countries and transfer safeguards relevant to your information, including how to obtain a copy of applicable safeguards, contact accounts@4edge.app.
4. Ed and human support
Ed is an AI support assistant. Your messages, relevant conversation history, screenshots you submit and limited account or technical context can be sent to an AI processing service to generate a response. Ed can make mistakes; you can ask for human support.
Our support system links the case to your account identifier and email. When a case is escalated, the support team receives the relevant conversation and attachments through the internal support workflow. You do not need to join a public community group to use in-app support.
Ed provides support information; using the chat does not authorise a payment or a trading operation. Trading and subscription actions use the separate controls described in the service and Terms & Conditions.
5. Retention and deletion
Account and trading history
Account, membership and trading records form your service history. Cancelling a subscription, disconnecting a trading account or hiding an account from the interface does not by itself erase this history. To request deletion of your personal data, contact accounts@4edge.app; we assess the records concerned and any continuing legal obligation or legal-claim need.
Support conversations and attachments
Closing a support case starts removal of its conversation content and attachments, including the copied internal support topic. If that removal fails, cleanup is retried. Inactivity or completion of a bot-managed conversation can also trigger closure. Cases escalated to human support remain open until resolved or closed. A limited record of the case identifier, closure time, reason and deletion status remains after content cleanup. Contact accounts@4edge.app for the retention arrangements applying to your case, including any records held separately by support providers.
Billing, security and provider records
Required billing and accounting records are retained according to the applicable statutory record-keeping requirements. Security, incident and legal-claim records can remain separately from the active account or support conversation. Backup and provider records are also separate from the live application’s deletion process. For the retention arrangements affecting a particular record, contact accounts@4edge.app.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Sign-in, session protection and security features use cookies or similar browser mechanisms needed to provide the service you request. These can be supplied by the application and its identity and security services. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in or secure access. Browser settings let you inspect and remove stored cookies.
We do not add advertising pixels or visitor analytics. Academy video players load automatically when you open a lesson. The external video service receives your IP address and device information and may use cookies or similar browser storage. We use the player’s privacy-enhanced embedding mode; this does not mean the player is anonymous or free of all browser storage.
- Application session (__session and its chunks): necessary, encrypted sign-in state; up to 24 hours, with an 8-hour inactivity limit.
- Sign-in transaction (__txn_*): necessary temporary sign-in protection; up to one hour.
- Identity and security services: the identity service manages its own sign-in session; the security service may set cookies such as __cf_bm (30 minutes of inactivity). Provider-controlled lifetimes can be inspected in your browser.
- Embedded video storage: controlled by the external video service. Its storage and duration depend on player use and the service’s browser session. Browser settings let you inspect, restrict or remove that storage; restrictions can affect video playback.
Accepting the Terms or continuing to browse does not give optional-cookie consent. Necessary cookies do not require consent. The application and sign-in pages do not show a cookie or privacy-policy acceptance prompt. Cookie information is available from the footer of get4edge.com.
7. Automated features
The bots you activate can execute trades automatically using their trading logic and your available settings. Subscription status also affects access automatically. These features and their consequences are described in the service and the Terms & Conditions. Contact accounts@4edge.app if you need an explanation of processing involving your information or wish to contest a decision and request human review.
8. Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion or restriction of processing, and a portable copy of data processed automatically on the basis of consent or a contract.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send requests to accounts@4edge.app. Provide enough information to identify the account and request, but never send your password. We may ask for proportionate identity verification. We respond within the time required by law and explain any applicable limitation or extension.
You can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or another competent supervisory authority, in particular where you live, work or consider an infringement occurred.
9. Changes and contact
We update this policy when processing changes and provide further notice where required. The date above identifies this version. Questions and data-rights requests: accounts@4edge.app.
